Radiology Department
The surgeries possess a CRANEX Tome radiology unit, which in addition to the normal panoramic digital x-rays, carries out high quality topographical (imaging by layers) scans in a spiral motion. This type of scan is essential for advanced oral surgery and especially beneficial for the patient in that the level of radiation exposure is significantly less than that of a traditional CAT scan.
With the best interests of the patient always in mind, i.e. that they should experience the least radiation exposure possible, we are able to carry out dental scanograms for the most accurate diagnosis possible.
A dental scanogram is a localised panoramic highly detailed view of the dental or sinus areas which will be subject to medical scrutiny.
